An MSP Home Tour Featured Home of 2022
After retiring from teaching, Janie decided to sell her Montana home and move to St. Paul to be closer to her daughter and grandkids. Her daughter’s St. Paul home already had an old garage on the property. Tearing it down and building a new carriage home was an easy decision. After many months of planning, demolition and construction began. The new structure consists of a heated two-car garage, a bedroom, full bathroom, sitting room with a patio door leading to a deck, full kitchen and a dining space. Janie was even able to incorporate her mother’s Swedish tiles into the kitchen backsplash. Check out the pictures below to see the process from beginning to end!
